Uncle Sam 2006 and Old Uncle SamThe Bill of Rights Contains Ten Separate Amendments which protect citizen liberties. These rights affect all of our activities and the quality of life in America. The First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

During President Bush's administration every State and Major City in the Nation is working with the Bill of Rights Defense Committee to protect our established rights and to protest eroding of civil liberties essential to the well being of a democratic society. These meetings are to insure public safety without impairing the constitutional rights of a diverse population, including recent immigrants and students of other nations, whose contributions to community are vital to the economy, culture and civic character.
